Eastside Snaps Part I.

Back from a short vacation from Taiwan, we ate, toured, explored, hung out with the mister's family, ate, then ate some more. Despite the non-stop food coma, jetlag, humidity, long bus rides, and my mosquito molested legs, Taiwan completely and utterly blew me away, the people, food, snack culture, night markets, picture-perfect beaches, lush mountains...it might just be my favorite travel spot to date. We spent 5 day 4 nights on an around the island tour, with the rest of the time spent in Taipei, I boarded the return flight, already plotting my hopefully soon return visit.

Now onto the pictures before I ramble on (All of the photos below are taken with my iPhone)

To light or not to light?

I picked this lamp base at target on clearance for a whopping $13.78 about 6 months ago, it's made of solid wood and I absolutely love the geometric tripod shape. I slapped on an ikea circle bulb I had laying around, and that's the only thing that's been lighting the living room, I actually really love it, it's minimal, clean, and a shadeless oversized circle bulb actually creates a warm cozy glow to the room.

But ever since Anna from Doorsixteen blogged about her West Elm Mobile light here, I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. Will it be a good option for our living room? or maybe office? (p.s. She might be my favorite interior/home blogger, ever, I could go on and on about how much I adore her taste, and did I mention she's also a fellow Ikea fanatic? But I shall save the sappy internet proclamation of adoration for now)
